I am thankful that even though this
picture would indicate a poltergeist was trying
to escape our house,
that was not the case.
This was the result of a wind storm.
It's on that side of the house that you never look at.
You know, the one furthest away from the garage.
The neighbor called and asked if we had noticed it.
And while this had the potential to cost us a few thousand
dollars, I am thankful for enough life experience
to know not to get upset until I had an invoice in hand.
There would be plenty of time for wringing of hands, later.
But it wound up being a couple hundred dollars.
So, I'm thankful for a few things;
the perspective of time
the ability to pay a couple of hundred dollars for repair,
and helpful neighbors.
Oh, and no poltergeists!
