Luke 2: 13 & 14
You have to read it in the
King James
version.
....a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God and
saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth
peace, good will
toward men.
Well, if that one angel scared the
shepherds witless
imagine what a
MULTITUDE
did to them!
I can't imagine what that looked like
or sounded like.
But someday because of the baby's birth
the angels were heralding,
I can join in the praising
in heaven.
I love the PEACE ON EARTH sign that Batavia puts up on our Wilson Street bridge every Christmas season. It's sure to garner some sneers when some folks drive by, "Peace on earth?! There's no peace on earth..." But God provided, in that little babe, and the angels heralded on that night, the kind of PEACE mankind no longer has to wait for, the internal I'm-right-with-God kind...
